The Reed St Renovation stemmed from an adjacent property fire which resulting in significant smoke damage leaving the existing space unlivable. This project included completely tearing everything down to the studs and subfloor on the first floor and removing the existing dining room wall. All ceiling joists and joist bays were sprayed with shellac to eliminate the residual smoke odor. From there the new open concept plan was framed up, new windows, new subfloor, new lighting, added receptacles, all new drywall, doors, trim, flooring, and paint were installed.
In addition to this work, the basement at this property had all walls parged, a French drain system and sump pump installed, as well as all main sewer line in basement being converted to PVC. The upstairs also included the removal and replacement of all carpeting.
